- Qlayer provides software for data centers that enables
true cloud computing. Cloud computing is rapidly changing the computing
landscape . by turning data center infrastructure into an agile services
delivery platform. New services such as virtual servers, storage or
applications are available on-demand to both technical and non-technical
users, with usage-based chargeback. By leveraging and augmenting existing data
center infrastructures including all popular Hypervisors, Q-layer provides
enterprises and service providers with the ability to deliver IT services
simply and with dramatically lower TCO.
- gogrid GoGrid Cloud Servers support a variety of Linux
and Windows operating systems with preinstalled software, such as IIS, Apache,
PHP, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL. Our Server images allow you to quickly
deploy a single server or build a load balanced server network in just a few
clicks without having to spend time installing software.
- Amazon EC2 Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2)
is a web service that provides
resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale
computing easier for developers.
Amazon EC2.s simple web service interface allows you to obtain and configure
capacity with minimal friction. It provides you with complete control of your
computing resources and lets you run on Amazon.s proven computing environment.
Amazon EC2 reduces the time required to obtain and boot new server instances
to minutes, allowing you to quickly scale capacity, both up and down, as your
computing requirements change. Amazon EC2 changes the economics of computing
by allowing you to pay only for capacity that you actually use. Amazon EC2
provides developers the tools to build failure resilient applications and
isolate themselves from common failure scenarios.

- Xen -- virtual machine
monitor
Xen is a virtual machine monitor for x86 that supports execution of
multiple guest operating systems with unprecedented levels of performance and
resource isolation. Xen is Open Source software, released under the terms of
the GNU General Public License. We have a fully functional ports of Linux 2.4
and 2.6 running over Xen, and regularly use it for running demanding
applications like MySQL, Apache and PostgreSQL. Any Linux distribution
(RedHat, SuSE, Debian, Mandriva) should run unmodified over the ported OS.
- Xen (in Russian) [in Russian] Xen -
(native).
- VMware -- commercial virtual machines.
- coLinux -- Cooperative Linux is the first working
free and open source method for optimally running Linux on Microsoft Windows
natively. More generally, Cooperative Linux (short-named coLinux) is a port of
the Linux kernel that allows it to run cooperatively alongside another
operating system on a single machine. For instance, it allows one to freely
run Linux on Windows 2000/XP, without using a commercial PC virtualization
software such as VMware, in a way which is much more optimal than using any
general purpose PC virtualization software. In its current condition, it
allows us to run the KNOPPIX Japanese Edition on Windows.
- KVM -- Kernel-based Virtual Machine is a
full virtualization solution for Linux on x86 hardware containing
virtualization extensions (Intel VT or AMD-V). It consists of a loadable
kernel module, kvm.ko, that provides the core virtualization infrastructure
and a processor specific module, kvm-intel.ko or kvm-amd.ko. Now (2007) KVM
also requires a modified QEMU although work is underway to get the required
changes upstream.
- VirtualBox nnotek VirtualBox is a family of
powerful x86 virtualization products for enterprise as well as home use. Not
only is VirtualBox an extremely feature rich, high performance product for
enterprise customers, it is also the only professional solution that is freely
available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public
License (GPL). See "About VirtualBox" for an introduction; see "innotek" for
more about our company.
Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, Macintosh and OpenSolaris hosts
and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not
limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista), DOS/Windows 3.x,
Linux (2.4 and 2.6), and OpenBSD.
Simplify management, improve utilization, and cut costs across your entire IT
infrastructure.
- Sun xVM The Sun xVM family of
virtualization products uniquely integrates
virtualization and management to help you better manage both physical and
virtualized assets across heterogeneous environments. Sun xVM will give you an
edge in performance and scalability and will help you simplify your path to
building a more efficient business.
