HSQCD 2005 - Bulletin No. 2

The Second Workshop "Hadron Structure and QCD" (HSQCD'2005) is organized by St. Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg State University, V.A. Fock Institute of Physics and
St. Petersburg Scientific Center of Russian Academy of Sciences. It will be held on September 20-24, 2005 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Scientific program

The aim of this workshop is to review the recent progress in the hadronic physics, QCD, Standard Model and its generalizations.

NOTE: A special session will be dedicated to the 30-anniversary of the BFKL equation.

The physical topics of the workshop include:
  • perturbative QCD, BFKL- and DGLAP- evolution equations, polarized & nonpolarized parton distribution functions, small-x physics
  • hard diffraction and Pomeron physics
  • heavy ion collisions, quark-gluon plasma
  • nonperturbative QCD, lattice computations, chiral model of hadrons
  • hadron spectroscopy, exotic states: pentaquarks, glueball, etc.
  • precision tests of Standard Model, extensions of Standard Model

Worskhop site and accommodation

Due to some technical problems we have to move HSQCD'2005 Workshop site to hotel "Rossiya" (20 min by subway to St.Petersburg downtown). The participants will be accommodated at 3-star hotel "Rossiya" and hotel "Akademicheskaya" (Gatchina).

Registration and visa formalities

We ask the participants to register as soon as possible at the workshop web-site by filling the registration form, visa information form and supplying passport copy.
For visa application a special invitation prepared by Russian authorities by request of HSCQD'2005 Organizing Committee must be presented to your local Russian Consulate. We start paperwork for such a special invitation as soon as you have registered and filled the visa information form (supplied by passport copy).
Please NOTE: In many Russian consulates they ask for the original of the visa invitation document, while for some consulates fax copy is enough. So, please consult your local Russian consulate in advance. By early visa application you save time and expenses. The cheapest option at Russian consulates takes about 2-3 weeks.
Details on Russian visa can be found at: http://www.russianembassy.org/

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: extended to July 25, 2005 !!!
