Muon capture by the nucleus 3He.

The experiment on negative muon capture by  3He nuclei has been carried out in 1993 at Paul Scherrer Institut. PSI
(µ-+3He->νµ+³H).
The measurements of the capture rate have been done with high pressure ionization chamber, filled with pure 3He gas..
This method provided measurements of the capture rate with precision 0.3%, 10 times better than in the 3 experiments on this capture process.

The value of the pseudoscalar formfactor of the system ³He-³H,

obtained from our measurement, is in good agreement with theoretical calculations, based on the theorem of partial conservation of axial current (PCAC).
